Who is your Mr. Right?

Women spend a lot of time discussing and looking for the "right" man. Classifying men is a fun game for women, for both those who have lacked a bit of luck in that non-deterministic search and those who luckily have found their second halves. Having been strongly influenced by movies, I myself unforgivably end up mixing men and movie genres. In the same way that people classify movies into genres, men can be classified as Mr. Comedy, Mr. Romance, Mr. Family, Mr. Action and Mr. Science-Fiction.

Mr. Comedy appears to be the most likable type of man for most women. He is the one who is fun to be with even though his appearance sometimes is a bit exceptional (too short or too tall, too fat or too skinny). He always plays a key role at every party where he brings endless laughs to nice young ladies. He makes people around him feel good by telling intelligent jokes. If you are feeling down or frustrated, he is the one who gives you the needed encouragement. Every woman regardless of age tends to like Mr. Comedy . If you are a single mother and looking for the second round, Mr. Comedy would be an ideal candidate as your children would find his jokes about Mr. Bunny amazingly interesting. If you are worried that your parents are a bit hostile toward your boyfriend, then you’d better look for Mr. Comedy as your father would be happy to share his political jokes while your mom would be amused by his sociable and animated attitude. There is only one thing you need to pay attention to though; Mr. Comedy happens to be quite difficult to commit to a long term relationship. Also he would be very confused if he had to take care of the housework or bring up children. After all, he needs time as well as your efforts to be as good at serious matters as he naturally is at non-serious stuff.

While women like to be entertained by Mr. Comedy , Mr. Romance happens to be their ideal boyfriend. He seems to be very sweet, caring and sensitive. Often times he is good looking and has beautiful eyes. He is the one who can write incredibly nice and long letters that melt your heart. He makes you feel that the fairy tale love story actually exists in your real life. He is ready to share a romantic walk with you to watch the sunset along the beach. He would be happy to accompany you to see new romance movies. He never forgets to send you a red rose on your birthday or on Valentine’s day. He makes every day in your life to be special by writing you a dozen sweet poems which are supposed to be for only you. If you have a plan for a dinner with Mr. Romance, it'd better be in a French or an Italian restaurant where you both can sit in front of the fireplace quietly and enjoy the impressionist paintings as well as the good food. Mr. Romance brings a great fantasy to those women who are searching for the perfect love. Unfortunately, it would be next to impossible to get Mr. Romance into a commitment. He considers marriage as something which will ruin the romanticism of love. He also appears to be indecisive and irresponsible. After all, in your lifetime movie, the romance he brings is just one scene which unluckily doesn't seem to last very long.

Am I talking too much about non-committed men? You don't have to wait long though. Mr. Family is the one who you should look for if you want to get married. He is the type of person who has it all including a good job, a decent house and an expensive car. After having dedicated all his youth to schooling, working and earning money, Mr. Family now wants to take a break and enjoy life as he deserves to. He is looking for a wife who should definitely be beautiful and an excellent cook. Being a very goal oriented type of person, he sometimes doesn’t bring much romanticism to women he meets. Sometimes women even find him a little bit annoying for being so neat and well-planned. You can see your coffee cup cleaned right after you swallow at your first visit to his house. You should be ready to give up your job to be a full-time housewife after getting married. If you think your efforts can change Mr. Family, you are on the wrong track. Unless you want a divorce, you'd better accept the fact that Mr. Family is permanently programmed in the way he is.

Even though women generally hate violence, Mr. Action surprisingly draws women's attraction with his muscle and manly behaviors. He looks like many main characters in popular action movies who are strong, like adventures and act heroically. He is a very helpful person who never lets women touch any heavy work. If it's a hot summer and your air conditioner doesn't work properly, he is the one you need to make a call to. If you are afraid of going home alone at night, he will voluntarily take you home even though his way home is in the opposite direction. He doesn't do a lot of talking though. However, it is still fun to be with him as you will never find such a patient and good listener as he. Just remember not to ask any questions while you speak because you would embarrass him because of his listening comprehension ability. He doesn't pay much attention to what you say, unfortunately. One good thing about Mr. Action is that he seems to be willing to make a commitment. However, you should prepare to have a moderate attitude to live with him. Try not to argue much with him unless you want to practice for a role in an action movie because you might end up being in a hospital with half of your teeth taken out after the argument.

Last comes Mr. Science-Fiction who attracts women by being incredibly smart. He is also a studious guy who theoretically knows everything and can virtually do everything. He is able to talk continuously about physics, computer science, history, mathematics and other sciences without even glancing to see if you are excited to hear. He would amazingly give you a long and comprehensive explanation of some mysterious theorems which Enstein formulated centuries ago. He also enriches your poor knowledge in Computer Science by giving you a lengthy lecture about a hot battle between Microsoft and Sun when you only want him to help you to format your document using Microsoft Word. You will sometimes find Mr.Science-Fiction handy though, especially, when your little brother doesn’t know how to solve a linear equation (and you forgot right after you finished college). Mr. Science-Fiction leaves a very good impression the first time you talk to him, even though you feel that in comparison to him, your knowledge about everything is incredibly poor. Don’t worry, if you want to marry him, you don’t need to go back to college to consolidate your knowledge in the sciences if you don't really want to. Mr. Science-Fiction simply wants a wife who knows how to take care of housework, to balance his check book, to decorate his house and to bring up his kids which happen to be difficult tasks for him. You should be patient, strong and independent because he is not much help in taking care of family chores. The one thing you should always remember is that his research work is the most important thing and you should be every supportive by releasing his intelligent mind from caring about all housework. Does it sound good to you?

Men are more complicated than women often times estimate. On the other hand, women’s preferences while looking for Mr. Right are even much more sophisticated than men foresee. Women like doing fun things, listening to sweet voices, being helped when needed. They also prefer a mind capable of commitment to one that isn’t while searching for their soul mates. After all, women appreciate the intelligence and willingness to learn new things. None of the individual characterized in the six types of men meets women’s demanding expectations. An ideal "Mr. Right" would be a man who combines all of the best features of each type. Has this Mr. Right ever existed? I sincerely doubt it although I still keep on searching.
